Have your ProLaser 4 or ProLaser 3 laser speed gun calibrated annually as part of our dedicated monthly sessions.

We organize the collection of your device, its preparation prior to inspection, shipping, the necessary tests, and its return to your department.

ProLaser calibration sessions are organized around the 15th of each month, with the exception of August.

When should you contact us?

We recommend that you contact us approximately 2 months before the anniversary date of your calibration.

This timeframe allows us to:

  • prepare and send you a quote;
  • receive your signed quote or official purchase order;
  • reserve a spot in the desired calibration session;
  • organize the shipment of the ProLaser within the required timeframe;
  • perform the necessary checks and preparations before inspection.

To participate in a session, your ProLaser 3 or ProLaser 4 must generally reach us during the last 10 days of the month preceding the session.

Example

For a session scheduled around June 15th, your device must reach us during the final days of May.

This arrangement allows us to carry out the necessary checks and preparations before the inspection: sighting, alignment, general operation, and preliminary tests.

Calibration sessions

Sessions are generally organized around the 15th of each month.

Please note: no calibration sessions are organized in August.

To guarantee a spot in the desired session, we recommend that you plan your request in advance.

ProLaser transport

Once your service is scheduled, we will send you the procedure for shipping your device via email.

You will be able to drop off the box containing your ProLaser carrying case at an official post office near you.

A Chronopost shipping label will be provided to you.

Around the 20th of the month preceding the session, we will send you, among other things:

  • the Chronopost label;
  • available nearby post offices;
  • their opening hours;
  • an "earliest" drop-off date;
  • a "latest" drop-off date.

The drop-off period is generally organized over a window of about one week so that your device arrives within the necessary timeframe.

Information to provide

To prepare your file, please provide us with:

  • the month of the desired session;
  • the model: ProLaser 3 or ProLaser 4;
  • the serial number of the device;
  • the name of your institution, organization, town hall, municipal police, or company;
  • the complete return address;
  • the first and last name of the contact person;
  • a mobile phone number or the department's reception number.

The ProLaser serial number generally contains 4 or 5 digits and is located on the bottom or back of the device.

Preparing the device

Your ProLaser must be placed in its original shockproof case.

The case must contain:

  • the ProLaser;
  • batteries;
  • the charger;
  • the cigarette lighter plug;
  • the device's accessories;
  • the metrological logbook.

The complete case must then be placed in a sturdy, properly protected box, ideally the original one.

Document to include

An identification sheet must be placed inside the case with the following information:

  • order number;
  • ProLaser serial number;
  • ProLaser 3 or ProLaser 4 model;
  • month of the chosen session;
  • contact name;
  • complete return address.

We will provide you with the necessary information so that this document can be printed and placed with the device.

After receipt

Upon receipt, your device is prepared for the scheduled session.

The various stages include pre-inspection checks and tests, the inspection, exit tests, and then the preparation for your device's return.

Your ProLaser is generally shipped back about one week after its calibration and exit tests.

Downtime duration

You should plan for a downtime of approximately 3 weeks between the collection of your device and its delivery back to you.

Preparation and tests → Inspection → Exit tests → Shipping back

We therefore recommend that departments using their speed gun daily plan well in advance for the period during which the device will be out of service.

Frequently asked questions about annual ProLaser 4 and ProLaser 3 calibration

Which devices are covered by this service?

We arrange the annual inspection of ProLaser 4 and ProLaser 3 laser speed guns. When submitting your request, please provide the model, serial number and due date shown on the metrology documents supplied with your device.

What is the purpose of the annual inspection?

The annual inspection verifies the metrological performance of your device and provides the documents corresponding to the inspection performed. Planning ahead makes the service easier to organise and helps minimise downtime while the equipment is away.

When should I prepare my calibration request?

We recommend contacting us approximately two months before the anniversary date of the inspection. This allows enough time to prepare the quotation, receive your approval or purchase order, reserve a session and arrange transportation.

Where can I find the due date for my ProLaser?

Check the metrology logbook and documents supplied with your ProLaser 4 or ProLaser 3. If you are unsure, send us a copy of the most recent inspection document, together with the model and serial number, so that we can prepare the service.

When are calibration sessions organised?

Sessions are usually scheduled around the 15th of each month, except in August. Your device’s appointment is confirmed when the service is arranged, subject to availability.

How should I plan for a due date during the summer?

No sessions are organised in August. If your inspection is due during this period, contact us early enough to arrange a session beforehand. Please do not wait until the last minute to reserve the service.

What are the steps for booking the service?
  1. Send us the device model, serial number and inspection due date.
  2. We prepare a quotation corresponding to your request.
  3. Return your approval or purchase order.
  4. We confirm the appointment and transportation arrangements.
  5. The device is returned with the metrology documents issued following the inspection.
When should the device be made available?

Collection is generally arranged during the last ten days of the month preceding the session, so that the equipment is received at the end of the month. Exact dates are agreed with you when the service is booked. Please wait for the collection instructions before sending any equipment.

How long does the service usually take?

An estimated turnaround time of one to two weeks is usually provided. To plan the actual period during which your device will be unavailable, ask us to confirm the collection and return dates. These depend on the selected session, transportation and any action required following the inspection.

How should I prepare the ProLaser for transportation?

Place the device in its protective carrying case, then pack the case inside a suitable cardboard box with sufficient protective material. Clearly identify your organisation and the equipment. Follow the instructions provided regarding the documents, accessories and power supply that must be included.

Should all accessories be sent with the device?

Please confirm the required contents when booking the service. The tripod, tripod head, charger and other accessories should not be included automatically unless requested. The list of required items will help you prepare a package suited to the planned service.

What should I do if the device already has a fault?

Report any problem when requesting the quotation: measurement difficulties, display problems, unstable power supply, impact damage or deterioration. Describe the symptoms and include photographs if necessary. An annual inspection request should not be considered as automatically including a repair.

Which documents are supplied when the device is returned?

Your ProLaser is returned with the metrology documents corresponding to the inspection performed. Keep them with the device records to maintain its history and prepare for the next due date.

Can the inspection of several ProLaser devices be arranged?

For requests involving several devices, send us a list of their models, serial numbers and due dates. Please also specify your availability requirements so that we can consider a schedule suited to your department.
