Portable Alerting System EPA/EMA
To alert and inform the population quickly in the event of danger
The EPA Portable Alert System, also known as EMA – Mobile Alert System, is a mobile solution designed to rapidly alert and inform the population in the event of danger or an emergency situation.
Compact, portable, and quick to deploy, it combines a 112 dB siren, light signaling, a loudspeaker, a microphone, and a system for broadcasting recorded messages.
It is particularly suitable for town halls, municipalities, local authorities, technical services, industrial sites, campsites, and establishments that need a mobile means of broadcasting alerts.
Thanks to its magnetic attachment and direct power supply from the vehicle, the EPA can be installed quickly, without permanent modification to the vehicle.
€1,250.00 excl. tax.
Personalized quotes are available for local authorities, government bodies, town halls, campsites, public institutions, and professionals.
The EPA is designed to be transported in a vehicle and then put into service quickly when a situation requires warning or informing the population.
The loudspeaker and its light signaling are positioned on the vehicle using a magnetic base.
The control unit remains accessible inside the vehicle, allowing for operation of the siren, selection of recorded messages, and use of the microphone.
No fixed installation is required.
The equipment can thus be used temporarily on different compatible vehicles as needed.
The Portable Alert System combines several functions:
112 dB siren;
orange or blue light signaling, depending on the version;
flashing or rotating signal;
external loudspeaker with magnetic attachment;
microphone;
Public Address function;
up to 3 recordable voice messages;
message storage on Micro SD card.
The system thus allows for the broadcasting of an alert tone, a pre-prepared message, or an announcement made directly by the operator.
The EPA allows up to 3 voice messages to be recorded on a Micro SD card.
They can be prepared for different situations:
evacuation;
taking shelter;
flooding;
fire;
industrial risk;
weather event;
closing of an area;
safety instructions;
information intended for the population.
The Public Address function also allows you to speak directly into the microphone when a message needs to be broadcast immediately.

The system uses several coiled cords to connect:
the loudspeaker;
the control unit;
the vehicle power supply.
Approximate length:
0.5 m coiled;
up to 3 m deployed.
The EPA includes:
a transport and interconnection case;
a magnetic-mount loudspeaker;
light signaling;
a control unit;
a microphone;
a Micro SD card;
coiled cords;
a vehicle socket power supply;
an On/Off switch.
The EPA is particularly suitable for municipalities with a Communal Safeguard Plan (PCS) that need a mobile means to broadcast an alert or instruction to the population.
A vehicle equipped with the EPA can drive through the affected areas while broadcasting:
a siren;
a pre-recorded message;
a microphone announcement;
light signaling.
Its portable design allows it to be deployed quickly without immobilizing a dedicated vehicle.
The Portable Alert System is also suitable for campsites and outdoor establishments that need a mobile means of information and alert.
A vehicle can drive through the establishment while broadcasting instructions or messages to the occupants.
The orange SNA versions are particularly adapted to this use.
Several versions are equipped with the National Alert Signal (SNA) tone.
The versions concerned are:
EPA Blue Flashing SNA – ref. 28874;
EPA Orange Flashing SNA – ref. 27780;
EPA Orange Rotating SNA – ref. 31217.
The system also allows for the broadcasting of the all-clear signal and other tones depending on the chosen configuration.
The EPA does not require permanent vehicle modification.
The external device is attached via a magnetic base and the various elements are connected using the provided cords.
Power is supplied directly from the vehicle.
The unit can then be dismantled and stored in its case after use.
The use of certain blue light signaling and certain sound tones is regulated.
The technical homologation of the equipment does not in itself constitute an authorization to use it on any vehicle.
It is the user's responsibility to select a configuration compatible with their activity and the applicable regulatory framework.

EPA is the French abbreviation for Ensemble Portatif d’Alerte, meaning Portable Alerting System. EMA stands for Ensemble Mobile d’Alerte, meaning Mobile Alerting System. Both terms refer to this transportable vehicle-mounted warning system.
The Portable Alerting System attracts attention and broadcasts instructions near a vehicle. It combines warning lights, a siren and voice broadcasting for public information operations, emergency situations and safety exercises.
The system is particularly suitable for local authorities, municipal departments and campsite managers requiring a mobile solution for broadcasting instructions. The version must be selected according to the intended duties, the vehicle and the authorised conditions of use.
The equipment includes the components required for operation:
No. The system is designed for use without permanent installation. The loudspeaker has a magnetic mounting base and the power supply connects to the vehicle socket. The mounting surface must be compatible, and installation must comply with the equipment instructions.
Yes. Its portable design allows the system to be moved from one vehicle to another, provided that each vehicle has a suitable power supply and compatible mounting surface. The case keeps all components together between uses.
The operating range is 10 to 30 V DC, covering 12 V and 24 V vehicle power supplies. The stated maximum consumption is 6 A at 12 V or 3 A at 24 V. The power supply is protected by a 10 A fuse.
The microphone integrated into the control unit allows the operator to speak directly to the public using the Public Address function. Announcements can therefore be adapted immediately without preparing a recording. The volume is adjusted from the control unit.
Yes. The system can store up to three voice messages on a Micro SD card. The operator selects the required announcement from the control unit. This function is useful for preparing recurring instructions for an operation or safety exercise.
The stated sound level is 112 dB. This value alone does not determine an audible range: background noise, obstacles and terrain conditions affect how the signal is heard and how clearly messages can be understood.
Four configurations are available for different requirements:
Specify the required configuration when submitting your request. The appropriate choice depends on the intended use and the applicable authorisations.
SNA stands for Signal National d’Alerte, the French National Alert Signal. The corresponding configurations can broadcast this signal and the end-of-alert signal. These tones are separate from customised voice messages and cannot be modified by the user.
The choice must take account of the user department, vehicle and intended duty. Blue warning lights and specific tones are subject to conditions of use: purchasing the equipment does not constitute authorisation to use it. Tell us about your requirements so that we can direct you to the appropriate configuration.
The equipped case measures 32 × 23 × 15.5 cm and weighs approximately 4.10 kg. The magnetic loudspeaker measures approximately 18 × 13 × 21 cm and weighs approximately 1.14 kg.
The coiled cables measure approximately 0.5 m when retracted and can extend to 3 m. This allows the components to be positioned around the operating area while keeping them compact during storage.
Yes. The system has an automatic shut-off after three hours of inactivity. This is a shut-off period and not a battery operating time: the equipment uses the vehicle’s power supply.
The documentation presents the equipment and specifications of the blue and amber versions. You can view the EPA technical data sheet in PDF format to help prepare your choice. The PDF is currently available in French.
